I had been extremely fit and healthy competing in CrossFit competitions and running half marathons before perimenopause hit me like a tonne of bricks.

At first, I had numerous aches and pains and niggling injuries that just wouldn’t go away. Then I started gaining weight for no apparent reason. (Despite training 6 days per week and having a very healthy diet.)
